An Inland Telegram sent to the Chairman, Indian Airlines, Karachi, conveying assurances regarding the welfare and fair dealing of Indian Airlines staff, and affirming their continued cooperation and loyalty. The form bears Indian Posts and Telegraphs Department markings, manuscript endorsements and telegraphic processing annotations.

The reverse features a prominent “SAVE SAFELY for the FUTURE” advertisement promoting National Savings Certificates, along with the standard notice regarding the accuracy and delivery of telegrams.

Before flight status information was announced inside the aircraft, such cards were passed around. Here is a rare example of an Indian Airlines Corporation card. Notice the very functional text in the front side, and bureaucratic text on the reverse; this contrasts with the Air-India International style of such cards.
